  1. My name is Ana Pineda, and I work for Cinema Libre Studio. We are releasing the award-winning documentary film, SAVE THE FARM, on DIGITAL platforms (iTunes, Hulu, Snag Films, Over Drive, Objective Cinema, YouTube, Vudu, Playstation, Xbox, and Amazon) to offer a more eco-friendly viewing experience, starting June 7th.
SAVE THE FARM tells the story of the largest urban farm in the United States, 14-acres sitting right in the middle of South Central Los Angeles. For 14 years, over 350 families had cultivated this farm, feeding themselves and thousands in their community local, organic food. When the city sells it to a developer in a closed-door meeting, activists and celebrities including Daryl Hannah, Julia Butterfly Hill, Alicia Silverstone, Amy Smart, Tom Morello, John Quigley and Willie Nelson stage an 11th hour tree sit to save the farm. As the 5-year anniversary of the eviction approaches, director Michael Kuehnert demonstrates how a local community can come together to fight to save a farm they have come to depend on for their survival
Here at Cinema Libre Studio, we pride ourselves in producing and distributing socially conscious movies that bring awareness to issues such as those in SAVE THE FARM (the importance of urban greenspaces, organic and community farming, local food movement, etc.) in order to open minds, change opinions and incite action.
